Slow Down

You make me slow down and appreciate life.

To watch the ants (aunts) crawl about.

To chase the spiders up the driveway.

To stare out the window and watch the robin (berd) skip and play in the backyard.

To smell the tall yellow flowers that grow under the trees.

To look to the sky and notice the airplanes that fly over.

To feel the prickly pokes of the spruce trees (tees).

To stop and dance to the music in the middle of making lunch.

To fall in love with your dada all over again everytime he comes home and both of your faces light up when you see each other.

To hug the puppies for no reason but they're just there under our feet.

To throw the ball over and over again.

To dig in the dirt and then find the hose to make mud out of the dirt on our toes.

To find amazement in ever rock and stick we find.

To love the feeling of having you come plop down in my lap with a book that you've picked out to read.

To laugh at silly faces until we can't laugh anymore.

To savor every love you give me and every moment you will always be my first baby.

I love you little one with all my heart and soul.
