Four plus

Mommy is so late with blogging your 4th month. You turned four months on the 17th and haven't looked back since. You bring such joy and love to our lives! Nobody can resist those chubby cheeks and bright eyes of yours. You are the happiest baby I know! You have discovered a love for your toes.....and oh-so-close you are to tasting them too. You squeal and coo to anybody and everybody who will listen. Sometimes so much that it's hard to get a word in. You puffy heart your big brother and could watch him run around all day long. He makes you laugh more than anyone can. You are learning how to sleep through the night....8 pm to 9 am....not too shabby...although you usually wake up at 5 or 6 am to snack but who's complaining. You have recently sampled rice cereal for the first time and love, love, love it so very much. I think you were wondering why we were holding out on this delicious part of life. You couldn't get your mouth open far enough and even grabbed the spoon from me! I think my subconscious was purposefully forgetting to pick up the cereal at the store because it knew it was one of many milestones you are going to hit here quickly. I'm not ready for you to grow up just yet. I could've held your sleepy little face in my arms all night tonight. You are the baby every Mommy dreams of. Thanks for making all my dreams come true little one!
Love,
Your Mommy

ok

I'm okay with it. If it makes you feel better and helps you sleep a little longer.
We'll worry about it later. I won't listen to what other people say either.
Love you!

Bring on the Big Boy Bed

We haven't taken Monkey out of his crib yet because he sleeps REALLY well in it. We just bit the bullet and bought another one for our Little Man. He's never attempted to get out of it. We figured we were good to go and after he turned two we'd transition it into a big boy bed.

I don't think he's going to make it until he's two (and that's only 23 days away). I was sitting on the couch this morning enjoying the Today show when I heard a thud from his room. I got up, rounded the corner and not only was the light in his room shining from under the door, but I was greeted by his little face.....walking around his room....."hi Mommy"!!

I guess you're true to your name....Monkey!

Yeah Target!!!

I've been looking for one of these car seat covers that goes over the top for a couple months now. I couldn't find one online....or at least one that wasn't made from some cheesy fabric and definitely did not look boyish. Maybe I was being a little anal....but who wants their little boy being carted around covered in bright flowers or stripes that consist of every color of the rainbow.....yes that includes pink and purple.....not me and certainly not his Daddy!! I think I'm the only one who doesn't really like the Bundle Me, and I'm tired of wrestling with blankets.

I was psyched last week when I found one at Babies 'r Us. Only to come home and find that the hole for his cute little face to poke through didn't have a cover for it. HELLO.....that's the whole point.....for the love, I love in Alaska.......help a Mommy out!!

Fast forward to Tuesday night when I was running to Target for deodorant and cough syrup (for my Hubby...no I'm not giving cough syrup to my kiddos). I took my usual path through Target even though I was only suppose to be going to the pharmacy section...I can't help they program the carts to be on autopilot when you go there. They just automatically lead you to the baby section, the seasonal section, sometimes the toys and usually the picture frames, only to finish in the card section.....ahhh I'm experiencing it right now.....give me a minute....okay.....anywho I was beside myself with glee when I found the above cover hanging on the hook. THE LAST ONE!! It was meant to be. I even thanked God that night in my prayers.....silly I know.

But it's super nice...boyish....and look my Little Man even likes!! Leave it to Target to pull through for me!! Once again, thanks to the Target gods for building me one up here!!

needed

I needed to see this sweet, sleepy face tonight
after our tough evening.
Sweet Dreams and God Bless You

Magic Wand

Today, Little Man, I got your newborn photo book in the mail from the photographer. After I put you and your brother to bed tonight, I sat down and opened it.

And the tears fell off my cheeks.

Where does the time go? How are you 2 days shy of 4 months?

I would do anything to stop time right now and hold onto these moments forever. These sweet little baby boy moments. Little chubby baby feet. Huge open mouthed drooly baby smile. Silly coo's and goo's. Precious sleeping baby face. I want to hold you all day long and smother you with kisses.

Why can't we have magic wands in real life? I suppose then it wouldn't be considered real life.

Please grow at your own pace little one.....i just hope that pace is slow......love you to pieces!!

32 and Happy

Saturday was my 32nd birthday. Some people dread their birthdays. I love them. Embrace them. It's a day to celebrate and be spoiled. It's a day to celebrate another year!

I have plenty to celebrate: the birth of our second beautiful son and the fact that he is the most patient, healthy, and sweet little baby ever; the joy and love that Monkey brings to our lives; the most wonderful, loving husband a girl could ask for (did I mention handsome too:); the marriage of my baby sister to a great, fun-loving guy (welcome to the family "Uncle Bwian"); our health and happiness. I could go on, but you get the idea!!

The day started out great....getting to sleep in until 10:30 bc Hubby got up with the kiddos. Being woke up by Monkey saying "Happy Birfday Mommy". Hubby made crepes...mmm good! Doing absolutely nothing all day long but hanging out in our pj's. Tucking Monkey in that night he made my heart swell when he said to me without any coaching from Daddy "Happy, Happy Birfday Mommy".....my eyes were full of tears of love when I walked out of his room that night.

It was a happy day for me. Nothing special but I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend it than with the boys I love!!
